At the outbreak of WW1 in 1914, Mrs Falkner established a Hospital for Officers at No. 9 Montpelier Square.

By December 1914 all 7 beds were occupied.

The Hospital is not listed by the British Red Cross Society in 1917, so presumably is closed in 1915 or 1916.


This building is recorded as having been used as an auxiliary military hospital during WW1.  No further details have (as yet) come to light.
