Convalescent (military)

Garth House was opened by Miss Grace Letitia Icombe as an auxiliary military hospital to the Second London (T.F.) General Hospital.   It had 41 beds for convalescent enlisted servicemen.  Miss Combe herself acted as Matron and Commandant of the local Voluntary Aid Detachment.

The Hospital closed in 1919.

The site has been completely redeveloped and Garth House no longer exists.
